My Lord!
Some Eyes have slept
Others have awaken!
The eyes of the betrayed have slept,
And the eyes of Your star does not betray!
It gazes at us, unaware of the betraying world.
Was it bewildered by the Majesty of Allah or by the passing centuries?
Or is it that all the creation on the face of Earth does not hear or perceive?
Woe to myself! Did I not see while being restricted in sujūd?
